Step 1
Use the spline pen tool to draw a line in the front view.
Use U + S to increase the subdivide.
Create Three empty objects: the rope and two rope belts.
Step 2
Give the spline a rope tag and two rope belt tags from the simulation tag.
Rope tag can make splines obey the laws of gravity and collide with other objects while deforming – and these objects will react accordingly.
Rope Belt tag lets you fix guide points or spline points (when using splines in conjunction with the Rope tag).
Step 3
Extrude the ropes. Add a cloth surface to the extrude and decrease the thickness value to .01.
Check the hierarchical box.
Add a displacer to the cloth surface. Change the shading to color and adjust the height value.
Displace Deformer functions as a deformation object and must therefore be made a child of the object to be deformed (or be in the same hierarchy, below a common parent object). Make sure the object to be deformed contains enough subdivisions.
Ctrl + D to adjust the project settings to make the simulation smoother.
